Anacortes Public Library Foundation Manieri Endowment presents its latest program for Jazz enthusiasts on Friday December 15 at 7:00 pm.
Kevin is Director of Jazz Studies at Western Washington University. As a noted jazz trumpeter he is in demand as a sideman with national and international jazz groups, and also leads his own quartet in the Northwest. He will give a talk on the development of style and technique, illustrated by recordings, featuring many of history’s greatest jazz trumpet players. This is the fourth in an ongoing series devoted to jazz history from the perspective of individual instrumentalists.
