April is Jazz Appreciation Month. If you’re like me, you appreciate it year round, but I’d like to take this opportunity to make the effort to find a new group, a new venue, or a new series to check out. With that in mind, I’ll be sharing here the ones I know about in our area – Skagit and Whatcom counties.

Weekly Jazz Performances

Skylark’s Hidden Café in Bellingham showcases Jazz three nights a week – Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm.

Lighthouse Bar and Grill at the Hotel Bellwether in Bellingham has Jazz Tuesdays and Sundays at 5 pm.
(They don’t seem to list events on their website)

The Majestic in Bellingham presents Jazz every
Wednesday at 7pm.

Monthly Jazz Performances

The Anacortes Library Second Sunday Series (of course) at 3pm on the second Sunday of each month.
